Thor and Loki Forge Uneasy Alliance in Marvel's 'Thor: The Dark World' Trailer

Thor (Chris Hemsworth) team up with Loki (Tom Hiddleston) to take on a greater universal evil.

With exactly three months remaining until Marvel fully unveils its second chapter of Phase Two, the studio in conjunction with YouTube's Geek Week released the second trailer for Thor: The Dark World online this Wednesday.

The latest trailer for Thor: The Dark World bears too much resemblance to the initial trailer attached to Marvel's own Iron Man 3 a few months back, leaving many comic book fans still left in the dark about many of the film's details. But honestly, by no means is it a cheap move by Disney and Marvel to keep plenty of their cards close to the chest. When November 8th rolls around, the more surprises Marvel dishes out the better as long as there's nothing to polarize audiences like one certain turn of events in Iron Man 3.

Greater Perils Face Bilbo and Company in 'The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug' Teaser

Bilbo (Martin Freeman) and his company of dwarves close in on The Lonely Mountain.

After teasing audiences nearly six months ago with just an eye bursting out mountains of gold, director Peter Jackson briefly reveals a bit more of the dragon Smaug in the teaser trailer for The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug, which was released online Tuesday.

The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug continues the journey across Middle-earth from last Christmas as Bilbo Baggins (Martin Freeman from BBC Sherlock fame) and thirteen dwarves set out to take back a mountain stronghold from a gold-hoarding fire breathing dragon.

Trek, Superman and Hunger Games Trailers Debut With Darker Flair

Three of 2013's most anticipated releases all debuted brand new trailers this past week.

There should be no doubt in anyone's minds that the marketing minds in Hollywood are certainly kicking things up into high gear as of late. After countless months of wondering when we'll witness a glimpse of 2013's tentpole release, we not only get one (no, no), but count them three major trailers in a 72-hour block.

First up to plate is the final trailer to J.J. Abrams' Star Trek Into Darkness, which no pun intended is still leaving Trekkies in the dark about this sequel to the 2009 reboot. All audiences can still gather is that Benedict Cumberbatch plays a charismatic terrorist who has it out for the Federation. And despite the warnings coming from all personal and professional directions, Chris Pine's hot-headed rendition of Captain Kirk takes matters into his own hands.
